Designer Anushree Reddy’s ‘The Tale of a Bow’ bridal collections had customising vintage zardozi work with a touch of bling sequence work on fabrics such as malkha, chanderi, mulmul, kota, tulle and satin in forms of elaborate drapes.
Exaggerated volume was meticulously tailored to create dramatic anarkalis, crop blouses, sarees and lehengas. To create the vintage and antique look, zardozi had been especially dyed with tea leaves.
An interesting colour palette of vintage pink, grey, teal blue, soft blush contrasted with strong blood red and pure untouched natural beige dominated the collection.
Stunning Ileana D’cruz was the showstopper for Anushree Reddy’s beautiful bridal collections.
Designer Tarun Tahiliani’s show opened with his fabulous collections such as a black lean gown followed by bolero with embroidered draped dhoti pants.
Models entered the runway wearing a black and white serenade of kurtas, bridal saris with knitted lace gilets, drawstring kaftan, dhoti sari, lehenga cholis with net dupattas and kalidaar embellished kurtas.
Following this,Tarun opened a Pandora’s Box of delicious relaxed ready-to- wear resort fashion in sorbet shades. Summer cottons and sushi voiles came alive with thread and chikan work. Ombre added shades to chiffon saris while kimkhab kurtas were a vision in sheer silk.
Colours caused a riot on the ramp, as indigo, mustard, fuchsia turned into sunset hues while the black, white, ivory and beige kept the tones under control.
Elegant actress Jacquelines Fernandez walked the ramp for renowned bridal designer Tarun Tahiliani.
